This stuff rocks!!
This page is an online collection of a sketchbook that I have started for my 2 1/2 year old son. I have been putting back comics for him to have when he gets older, but I thought that this would be a cool thing for him to have in the future. Alot of the sketches are by artist and friends that I consider real talents in the industry or the future of the industry. Enjoy them for what they are. Most of the sketches are Batman, because at 2 1/2, it is hard to explain to him who anyone other than the 'Bats is. If you don't believe me, try coming up with an idea on how to approach a child about Hellboy and not sound stupid or scary....

Lee Ferguson's Image
My best friend for a long time. I have alot of his work but this was something for my boy. I always can get artwork out of him, so his stuff is always evolving. Make sure to check out his site in the links page. |
Mike Oeming's vision
I got this sketch from Mike Oeming, kick ass artist on Powers, some Marvel Team Up books, and Hammer of the Gods. This was obtained at the Mid Ohio Convention in 2000, where I got to meet Mike and was so pleasent to talk to. Mike has a true love for Mignola and Toth, and boy, does it show. |

Yannick Paquette's killer piece
I have always been a fan of Yannick's work. He shows his true love and influence of Kevin Nowlan in this piece, in my opinion. There are alot of artist who just mimic one of their favorite artist, Yannick has learned from Nowlan and developed his own unique style. Definately one of those artists that I buy their work, regardless of the title. |
Clement Sauve's Rendering
'Clef as he is known, is one of those guys, along with Lee Ferguson and Eric Canete, who are going to be the future breakers of the industry. With that, I mean that they are not submitting to the common "hot styles", but rather work on devolping their own feel for art and improving it. 'Clef is a straight shooter and a funny Canuck. His stories are always entertaining and I look forward to reading some of his books in the future. He has a bright future ahead of him.
